Pilot in Berlin-Schöneberg
Food from your Kiez. Brought by neighbors.
The little trattoria around the corner doesn't deliver? Now it does: you order by phone as usual, and someone from your street picks up your food – on foot, within 500 meters.

The idea
Short distances don't need a fleet
Many good kitchens in the neighborhood have no delivery service of their own, and the big platforms take 13 to 30 percent commission per order. But 500 meters need no car and no dispatch centre – just someone who is nearby anyway.
500 meters, checked by the server
The restaurant is at most 500 m from you, the courier at most 500 m from the restaurant. Short walks, warm food.
0 % commission
Kiezbote handles no money. You pay for the food at the restaurant and tip the courier from €5 in cash. No card data, no billing.
Trust both ways
Couriers verify once with ID and selfie, and after every run both sides rate each other.

Trust & privacy
Safe for everyone involved
Whoever rings your doorbell has been verified. And the app knows as little about you as possible – and only for as long as necessary.
Start without email
Get going right away as a guest, without an email address or password.
Verified couriers
Runners show ID and a selfie. The ID photo is only kept until the verification decision.
Your data, your choice
Export all your data and delete your account right in the app. Order data disappears automatically after 90 days.
Protection against abuse
Order limits for guest accounts, a block after many cancellations, detection of faked GPS locations.
Ratings and reports
Mutual stars after every run. Problems can be reported to the team directly, accounts can be blocked.
Data in the EU
The backend runs in the EU, maps come from OpenStreetMap. No tracking, no ads.
For restaurants
Deliver without a delivery service
Nothing to sign, nothing to install. Your guests call and pay you as always – the pickup is done by neighbors. No commission, no contract, no drivers.
For operators
Your own neighborhood platform?

FAQ
Good to know
Where is Kiezbote available?
The pilot is currently running in Berlin-Schöneberg. Kiezbote can work anywhere restaurants, customers and couriers are close together.
What does the app cost?
Nothing. You only pay for your food at the restaurant and tip the courier at least €5 in cash.
Is there an iPhone version?
Not yet. The app runs on Android and comes via Google Play. The code for iOS is prepared.
How do I become a runner?
Install the app, choose “I want to be a runner” and upload your ID and a selfie once. After approval you'll see jobs near you.
Why only 500 meters?
So the food arrives warm and nobody has to walk far. On foot, 500 meters is about six minutes.
Can I try the app first?
Yes, in the clickable prototype in your browser (German) – with demo data, no sign-up. The app itself is currently in alpha testing on Google Play and therefore not visible to everyone yet.
